As our patient, you have the option of customising your traditional braces by adding coloured elastic ties. CERAMIC BRACES Ceramic braces are tooth-coloured, making them next-to-invisible. ➢ They are affixed to teeth, and the wire threads in their slot. ➢ These braces are great for adults or older teenagers who have cosmetic concerns regarding braces. ➢ They are more comfortable than metal braces. INVISALIGN Aligners are clear, thin, plastic-like trays that are formed to fit an individual's teeth. ➢ These are custom made, comfortable trays that can be removed at any time, allowing you to eat and drink what you want while working towards a better smile. ➢ Each aligner is worn for 2-3 weeks, and moves teeth a fraction of a millimetre at a time. ➢ Patients must remove aligners for meals and when brushing/flossing. INVISIBLE LINGUAL BRACES Lingual braces are placed behind the teeth rather than in front, making them invisible to others when you smile. ➢ It is a great option for patients with cosmetic concerns regarding braces. ➢ The entire metal appliance and brackets are customised to match the shape of your teeth exactly. ➢ These braces are a great option for athletes, models, actors/ actresses, musicians who play wind instruments, and adult professionals. SELF-LIGATING BRACES Self-ligating braces can be metal or clear and typically look similar to traditional braces. It has a built-in clip to secure the arch-wire in place with self-ligating braces, tooth movement can be faster and may require fewer adjustment appointments.
